Thousands of keen shoppers are crossing the Atlantic to take advantage of the exchange rate that gives them plenty of bang for their Euro.
With the Fed looking to protect the economy from recession and not the dollar - expect plenty more European Shoppers in 2008.

Bank of Japan Cuts Rates to 0.1% While US Gov't Bails out Auto Sector

There were some key announcement today as the Bank of Japan cut its benchmark interest rate to 0.1% and the US government said it would tap the TARP funds to give the auto auto industry a bailout. Markets saw continued Dollar strength as part of a correction.

ECB, BOE and SNB Cut Interest Rates
Thursday, November 6th, 2008
The three key central banks in Europe all slashed rates, with the Bank of England taking an ax to rates with a 150 basis point reduction. The ECB and SNB lowered rates by 50 basis points. Weak data from the US helped sunk US stocks, continuing a day or risk aversion in global markets.

Phuket Trip Day 1
Reached Airport, looked around for cabs, finally one found us, took us to an agency who sold us a motel to stay in and also a Phi Phi Islands package. Somehow i got a great exchange rate from the agency's lady. All of them pretended to be Malaysians but me. I had Singapore dollars to change.
